One of my favorite memories with Nile was his trip to the zoo. He went when he was about 7.5 months, so he was interactive, and he seemed to enjoy all the sights and sounds. Of course, he didn't know what exactly he was looking at, but it was still fun to see his face light up. His favorite display was the sea lions. He literally whipped his head around so that he could keep up with them while they swam in circles in front of the glass.
Because we had such a great time with him, I couldn't wait to bring Evie, so we decided to go on the morning of Christmas Eve. I figured that there would be minimal crowds, and I was right. We had a fairly quick visit and we didn't get to see everything because it was actually quite cold and I didn't feel like we should keep her out in the weather.
You'll notice a picture of her leaning over to see a red river hog that isn't fully shown. She actually dropped a huge drool bomb on him. Haha! The animals really seemed to like her because quite a few of them came directly to her when we came to the display. I can't wait to go back when the weather is nicer and she's a bit older.
